Recyclıng Of Hazardous/Non-Hazardous Waste

  ​1. Vehicle Recycling (Manufacturer/Distributor)

      a.  ELV Activities

The scope of this investment is to identify mutual rights and responsibilities of the parties and the rules and principles concerning the services to be provided to the industry in accordance with provisions of the Regulation on Control of End of Life Vehicles no 27448 published on the official gazette on 30/12/2009 and End of Life Vehicles Directive.

ELV operations and activities; delivery of the vehicles in the M1, N1 categories as specified in the clauses no 2.1 and 3.1 of the sub-paragraph (d) of the first paragraph of the article no 3 of the Regulation on Highway Traffic no published on 18/07/1997 in the Official Gazette no 23053; filling out Deregistration and Disposal Form and deregistration of vehicles; drying, sorting, performing quality control and barcode attachment, all kinds of activities to prepare the waste for recovery or disposal and recovery, recycling, reuse of these types of vehicles and their parts and components by local facilities and contracted organizations that have "environmental permit and license" (including ELV delivery site service), evaluation of such activities,

      b. ELV Delivery Site Service Organization

To provide services with the contracted and licenses ELC Delivery Sites/Licensed Facilities that can be found in 81 cities in Turkey pursuant to the article on "building or involving in an ELV collection system" which is included in the economic operator provision of the regulation,

      c. Hazardous/Non-Hazardous Waste Process and Organization

Collection/Organization of collection of hazardous/non-hazardous waste, recycling (reuse and/or recovery and/or disposal processes and to deliver to licensed recycling/disposal facilities),

      d. Unregistered Vehicle/Equipment Processes

Recycling, recovery and disposal of vehicles which are unregistered for any reason - junk-waste vehicles/ELV vehicles/equipment in licensed facilities in accordance with the Environment Law.

Mechanical depollution-demounting and processing of vehicles which are unregistered for any reason - junk vehicles/ELV vehicles/equipment in licensed recycling facilities in accordance with the Environment Law.

2.Vehicle Recycling (Insurance Companies)

ELV Management

ELV Activities

To fulfil responsibilities in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on Control of End of Life Vehicles no 27448 published on the official gazette on 30/12/2009 and End of Life Vehicles Directive,
To carry out legal processes and procedures for the damaged vehicles that are determined to be a total loss when the cost of repair exceeds the cost of the vehicle based on insurance policies,

ELV Delivery Site Service Organization

To provide services with the contracted and licenses ELC Delivery Sites/Licensed Facilities that can be found in 81 cities in Turkey pursuant to the article on "building or involving in an ELV collection system" which is included in the economic operator provision of the regulation,

Service Organization for Damaged Vehicle Storage Sites (Individual Storage Site) of Insurance Companies

To store damaged vehicles that are determined to be a total loss when the cost of repair exceeds the cost of the vehicle based on insurance policies in the Damage Vehicle Storage Areas of Insurance Companies which are certified and licensed by the Environment and Urbanization Offices,

Vehicle Waste Management

To deliver parts replaced during repair to licensed ELV temporary storage sites in accordance with the damage repair reports prepared by insurance appraisers authorized pursuant to the Insurance Law no 5684 dated 03/06/2007, and performing recycling (reuse and/or recovery and/or disposal activities and delivering to licensed recovery/disposal facilities) activities, reporting recycling, recovery, reuse activities.

 

   

Waste Management

 

Waste Generator (Vehicle Manufacturer/Distributor)

To prepare a Waste Management Plan (Hazardous/Non-hazardous Waste) and have it approved by the Environment and Urbanization Office in the city,
Online data entry and reporting on hazardous/non-hazardous waste (https://online.cevre.gov.tr),
To identify waste codes and names of the non-hazardous waste in the storage site and to display this information in relevant locations,
For Hazardous Waste;

To create a Temporary Storage Site for Hazardous Waste and obtain a letter of conformity from the Environment and Urbanization Office,
To have liability insurance policies for hazardous waste.
For waste that require UATF (national waste transport form) to transport waste to waste treatment plants using UATF forms,

waste management pursuant to the applicable laws, including but not limited to the above.

 

Waste Generator (Insurance Companies)

If insurance companies deliver parts replaced during repair as junk/waste to licensed temporary storage sites or licensed waste treatment facilities,

To prepare a Waste Management Plan (Hazardous/Non-hazardous Waste) and have it approved by the Environment and Urbanization Office in the city,
Online data entry and reporting on hazardous/non-hazardous waste (https://online.cevre.gov.tr),
For Hazardous Waste;

For waste that require UATF (national waste transport form) to transport waste to waste treatment plants using UATF forms,

waste management pursuant to the applicable laws, including but not limited to the above.

Waste Generator and Waste Owner Waste Management

General responsibilities will be fulfilled in accordance with provisions of the "Waste Management Regulation" and other regulations on the environment.

Non-hazardous and hazardous waste generators and waste owners;

To prepare the Waste Management Plan and have it approved by the Environment and Urbanization Office in the city,
To report waste (entering waste codes, waste weights in delivery notes/invoices, delivering waste to licensed facilities and entering in the online system of the ministry),
Reporting of waste/junk that are considered as non-hazardous waste according to the relevant provisions (Waste Management Application, Waste Declaration System (TABS) at https://online.cevre.gov.tr) is done by waste generators and licensed facilities.
To identify waste codes and names of non-hazardous waste in the storage sites and to display this information in relevant locations,
To create a Temporary Storage Site for Hazardous Waste and obtain a letter of conformity from the Environment and Urbanization Office,
To have liability insurance policies for hazardous waste.
For hazardous waste that require UATF (national waste transport form), to transport waste to waste treatment plants with UATF forms,
To fulfil the responsibilities about end of life tires and batteries,

Additionally to perform further work about (hazardous and non-hazardous) waste management pursuant to the relevant regulations

 

Waste Generator (Licensed Facility)

To ensure that all waste recycling, recovery, reuse and disposal activities of the organizations/companies, most notably vehicle manufacturers/distributors are done by licensed facilities in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
